About Niamh O'Brien

Niamh O’Brien graduated from UCD in 1999 with a B.Physio (1st Hons). She worked in St.Vincents University Hospital before travelling to Australia and working in a rehabilitation hospital there. On her return she worked in Tullamore General Hospital in outpatients before entering private practice. She gained considerable experience in musculoskeletal conditions and occupational health over the five years there. She completed her MSC (Hons) in Musculoskeletal Medicine in RCSI in 2005.

Niamh then worked for eight years as senior Out-patient physiotherapist in Connolly Hospital, Blanchardstown working solely in musculoskeletal area and was appointed as the occupational physiotherapist for the HSE Dublin North East region. She is also placed on the HSE Clinical Specialist panel.

Niamh has completed certification in spinal manual therapy, dry needling and Neurostructural Integration Technique (NST) among numerous other courses. She has been a qualified Body Control Pilates Instructor since 2003 with special interest in rehabilitative Pilates and antenatal /postnatal Pilates. 

As a busy mum to five children she is very active in lots of community activities and serves as assistant coach to the Shercock Juvenile Athletics club.
